Michelle has been interested in photography ever since she got her first Canon powershot camera as a teenager. She bought her first DSLR camera in 2013 and has pursued her art with passion and joy ever since. She is a versatile photographer, finding inspiration shooting local hockey teams, artistic and technical products, wild life, pets, zoo animals, landscapes and travel photography. She enjoys capturing unscripted moments, in their raw authenticity, with as little editing as possible.

In her professional photography, she focuses on lifestyle and product photography, captured on site. She works directly with the artist or designer to ensure that the brand voice comes through every image.

As a lifelong hockey fanatic, her knowledge of the game allowed her to anticipate play and capture exciting moments of play all over the ice. Her hockey photos have been featured on the Dundas Blues facebook page and the Allen Cup official website. She is an accredited photographer for the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL). 

Her passion for travel has allowed her to explore and photograph all over the world. Most recently, trips to Vancouver Island, Banff and Florida have informed her recent landscape work. Closer to home, the Toronto Zoo is a favourite location for animal portraiture studies. This allows her the time and freedom to focus on a subject and capture expressions that would be much more difficult in a wild location. Her landscape and wildlife photos have been jury selected for display on two occasions for the "Art in the Workplace" Gallery at the McMaster Innovation Centre.

Formal Education

Michelle has an Honours BSc. in Biochemistry from Bishops University and an MBA from HEC Montreal (University of Montreal). She has several professional designations in financial planning and retirement planning. Photography has allowed her a creative outlet that wasn’t available in her previous professional career.
